Spirit Animals were spirits that were featured in Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams. While leaving JB's Planetarium, Tak is knocked out. When he wakes up, the Moon Juju is before him, and he is at the Moon Juju Interlude. Here the Moon Juju tells Tak that he may choose one of four Spirit Animals to help him on his quest. Each one gives him specific powers that can come in handy, and each has pros and cons. Tak must choose one, and the Moon Juju disappears before she can tell him the best of the four. When he chooses, Jibolba quickly realizes that it gave Tak a new look, and comments by saying "it's not the one I would have chosen, but it will work" and he says this no matter which is chosen.
